Anotated IFRS set

Post by DanSal »

Hi all

Has anyone purchased the annotated IFRS? if so - do they help understand more clearly the standards and how to apply them

for example, doing calculations and journal entries to correctly apply the standard?

https://shop.ifrs.org/product-detail?id=2191

Thanks

I wouldn't expect you'd need too much more than the standard, application guidance and this website

Hi JRSB thanks

do you have that application guidance? what does it contain? examples or something "easier" to understand that the standard themselves?

Thanks

yes, for example in IFRS 15 there are 63 specific scenarios as examples of the correct application.

but actually if you look at (Free) Big 4 guides, often the same examples are used.

Actually illustrative examples are now available for free at IFRS.org, but I'm pretty sure this wasn't always the case. For instance, after completing a free registration at IFRS.org, you should be able to access IFRS 15 IE at https://www.ifrs.org/issued-standards/l ... ifrs15-ie/
