Hello.
Company A has a building rent with a lease period of 2 years + renewals of 2 yers. The rent started 01-01-2019.
The company assess the period and create an ifrs 16 rent of only 2 years.
At 31-12-2020, after 2 years, lease end. At 01-01-2021 the company decided to renew the contract for more 2 years for the same building.
Question: at 31-12-2020 the liability and right of use are zero; shall the company at this date create the new right of use and liability? Or shall only create in 2021?
According P.20, i do not think there is a signifnicative event...

If the entity did not vacate the building on 31.12.2020 it means that it made the decision to exercise the extension option before the year-end
